Read to a child every day...

Meet Mrs. Robertson
I am Mrs. Cindy Robertson and I have been a part of the Burlington Area School District since 1992. I have a Masters of Science degree in Education with an emphasis on Reading. I have taught in many areas in the Reading field, as well as teaching many different grade levels.

I am currently teaching fifth and sixth grade reading support at Dyer Intermediate School. I also work with The Talents & Strengths Identification and Support System (TSID) for students identified with both academic and creative or dramatic strengths. I work with TSID students in grades one through six at Dyer Intermediate, Cooper Elementary, and Waller Elementary.
Professional Involvements
I belong to a professional group compromised of teachers, librarians, reading specialists, and administrators called the Wisconsin State Reading Association (WSRA). WSRA provides educational and professional development for all of the teachers of Wisconsin, and has been a leader in reading education throughout the United States, as well as being recognized internationally. There are many levels of leadership within the organization, and I have been a part of the WSRA Planning Committee for the past fifteen years. I have been a committee member, as well as committee chair for various committees, including Young Authors and the Program committee which organizes the yearly convention.
Personal Information
I have been married to Mr. Jerry Robertson for over twenty-five years. Mr. Robertson is an instrumental music teacher for the Palmyra-Eagle School District. Mr. Robertson is also an adjudicator and clinician who judges and works with marching bands and drum corps across the country and Canada.

My hobbies are reading, needle working (counted cross stitch), and traveling. We have one pet, a twelve year old Siamese cat named Smoke, who allows us to live in "her house"!
